GTech wanted to simplify the way its machines were visualized, connected and supported remotely.
The previous architecture relied on several separate tools and layers, including IPC hardware, Windows environments, visualization software, TeamViewer, PLC programming software and potential additional VPN or gateway systems.
The new architecture brings together EXOR HMI devices, JMobile and Corvina within a more integrated environment. While the eX707M and eX715M provide the machine-level HMI and edge environment, Corvina extends the architecture with secure remote access, VPN connectivity, IoT data collection and customer machine management.
As an OEM, GTech needed a machine architecture that could be easier to manage, easier to support remotely and more scalable across different customers.
The previous configuration worked, but it depended on multiple disconnected systems. Visualization, remote access, diagnostics, connectivity and data collection required several hardware and software layers to work together.
As the company began looking at vibration data collection and future preventive maintenance, the challenge became broader than remote support alone. GTech needed a way to collect machine data over time, manage customer access and support service technicians more efficiently.
The central question was clear: how could the company simplify connectivity and remote diagnostics while creating a foundation for future digital services?
GTech needed to:
GTech introduced EXOR HMI devices, JMobile and Corvina to bring visualization, remote access, VPN connectivity and data collection into one manageable architecture.
The eX707M and eX715M provide a dedicated machine interface, reducing the need for a Windows-based IPC and supporting both machine operation and field service.
JMobile allows GTech to create a flexible HMI application for operators, technicians and service activities, with features such as advanced interface logic, alarm pages, PDF documentation and network configuration pages.
Corvina adds the digital layer required to connect machines beyond local operation. Through remote access, VPN connectivity, IoT data collection and customer machine management, Corvina enables G Tech to support machines remotely and prepare new service models based on machine data.

For GTech, Corvina represents more than a tool for remote access.

The GTech project demonstrates that machine digitalization is not limited to adding connectivity to an existing machine.
It requires an architecture in which hardware, HMI software, remote access and machine data are considered together. The collaboration with EXOR America and Corvina supported this step by combining industrial HMI devices, JMobile and Corvina connectivity within the same technological ecosystem.
This approach gives GTech a more manageable machine architecture today while creating the flexibility needed to develop future services such as preventive maintenance, notifications, customer dashboards and potential ERP integrations.
